Excretion

Wysolone (Prednisolone) is discharged through urine (as conjugated and free metabolites); 1 to 2 hrs (eradication half-life).

1. Cataracts and glaucoma
2. Peptic ulceration
3. Slow growing rate
4. Rapid increase in weight
5. Swelling of Cheeks
6. Black Stool
7. Increased desire for food, stoutness
8. Increase in thirst
9. Fractures and osteoporosis(So doctors advise calcium tab. with it if it is going to use for long term use.)

How to reduce some side effects

In order to reduce some side effects , if you are using from a long time ,doctor will ask you for regular blood tests like SGPT and SGOT ,TLC-DLC, HB , platelets, R.F.T .

1. You can reduce or maintain your weight to some extent by taking a brisk walk for 15- 30 mins in the morning and evening.
2. Small exercises should also be started like for stretching of muscles to maintain your growth rate to some extent .
3. You should take a balanced diet , including proper nutrition. Your diet should contain green leaf vegetables like spinach, broccoli , and fruits like red apples, bananas, grapes, citrus fruits to maintain your natural immunity.
